The American Statistical Association (ASA) and the Caucus for Women in Statistics (CWS) are pleased to host the second annual Florence Nightingale Day.  This  event will be held for middle and high school  students at the Ohio State University campus as well as other locations across the country on Oct. 19 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Florence Nightingale was a founder of modern nursing and a pioneer of statistical graphics, and is credited with developing a variant of the well-known pie chart to track disease mortality over time.
