Oksana Chkrebtii, assistant professor of statistics, is the Co-PI on a new grant from NASA with her collaborator at the University of North Carolina - Wilmington to study the dynamics of surface salinity in the ocean at resolutions finer than those of satellite observations, and its relationship to precipitation.

Michael Browne, Emeritus Professor of Psychology and Statistics, passed away on October 10, 2018.  He received his BA and M.Sc. degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand and his Ph. D. from the University of South Africa.
