The American Statistical Association and the Caucus for Women in Statistics are hosting Florence Nightingale Day on Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Female students in grades 8-12 are invited to this inaugural event taking place at The Ohio State University campus (Jennings Hall, MBI, 1735 Neil Ave, Columbus, OH 43210) as part of a similar national celebration to promote the science of data.
Students can discover career opportunities in statistics and data science, take part in fun activities with data, and develop connections.
Space is limited. Online registration is open on the event’s website until Oct. 12. Event volunteers are needed. To assist at the Florence Nightingale Day in Columbus, please fill out the volunteer form. For questions, contact Jessica Kohlschmidt.
