Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

My research is primarily driven by the design and analysis of complex biomedical studies. I have mainly used Bayesian modeling to analyze data. Part of my work focuses on developing scalable computational methods to estimate models, such as using Variational Bayes techniques.

I am currently working on methods for signal detection in high-dimensional data motivated by learning the safety profiles of drugs by analyzing claims data and Electronic Health Records. Additionally, I am broadly interested in clinical trial design and analysis, particularly using Bayesian decision theory.
