STAT 1450: Introduction to the Practice of Statistics

Algebra-based introduction to data analysis, experimental design, sampling, probability, inference, and linear regression. Emphasis on applications, statistical reasoning, and data analysis using statistical software. Prereq: Math 1116 (116) or 1130 (130) or above, or Math Placement Level L or M, or permission of instructor. Not open to students with credit for 2450 (245) or 145. GE data anly course.

This course has both regular in-person sections and online sections.  For the online section, lectures are presented online and recitation and other course activities can be completed online.  Exams can not be taken online. Online students may take exams at the Ohio State main campus, or at a pre-approved testing center. Students must pay any fees associated with taking exams at a testing center.
