The American Statistical Association (ASA) and the Caucus for Women in Statistics (CWS) will host the Fourth Annual Florence Nightingale Day virtually on October 23 between 11:00 am-3 pm. All students in grades 8-12 are invited to attend this free event as part of an international promotion of data science and data analytics. Throughout the day, students will meet successful professionals at various stages of their careers in statistics and data science, take on data challenges, and have fun. The day aims to celebrate women in statistics and data science while helping students to discover opportunities in the field through activities and discussions. Activities will be conducted by OSU professors, industry professionals, community supporters, and college students, and prizes will be awarded to winners of the Kahoot Game and Data Challenge.
