Title
Stochastic Modeling with Networks
Speaker

Abstract
Note: This seminar is primarily hosted by the Mathematics Department.
Many physical and intangible structures, from the internet to who dates whom in a high school, can be abstracted as networks. With the goal of understanding the various processes that take place on these structures, such as the spread of a virus or the cultivation of an idea, we study stochastic models on complex networks. I will discuss a few of these models, and outline some directions for future discovery.
