Title

Statistical Analysis of Massive Spatio-Temporal Datasets

Speaker

Michael Stein, University of Chicago

Abstract

Statistical analysis of spatio-temporal data provides challenges in statistical modeling, diagnostics and computation. This talk gives an overview of these challenges, with a focus on t e computational. In particular, strategies for carrying out likelihood calculations for a large number of irregularly sited observations from a Gaussian process model will be considered.
