5th Annual Florence Nightingale Day for grades 8-12

Florence Nightingale Day

The 5th Annual Florence Nightingale Day will be held on October 29 at Ohio State University and virtually. Florence Nightingale was the founder of modern nursing and a pioneer in data visualization. The event honors Nightingale's legacy by celebrating contributions of women in statistics and data science and promoting career opportunities for future leaders in these fields. Students in grades 8-12 are invited to participate in this free one-day event, which includes hands-on activities, panel discussions and networking with professionals and current students.  Visit the event website for more information on the event and how to register.

Florence Nightingale Day is sponsored by the American Statistical Association, the Caucus for Women in Statistics, The Ohio State University Department of Statistics, and the Canadian Statistical Sciences Institute.
