Alumna Dionne Swift featured by American Statistical Association in Black History Month
Statistics PhD alumna Dionne Swift and nine other Black/African-American statisticians are recognized by American Statistical Association (ASA) for their tremendous contributions to the field of statistics.
Dionne, who is currently Principal Statistician at Procter & Gamble, developed her interests in math and science since middle school. She had multiple role models and mentors who provided tremendous encouragement and support during her career development. Therefore, Dionne has a desire to inspire others to achieve their educational and professional dreams. She has been active in mentoring minorities, building the African American community equity, and recruiting African Americans from STEM disciplines. Read the full story in Amstat News.
