Bill Notz, Professor Emeritus of Statistics at Ohio State, is the 2023 recipient of the Waller Distinguished Teaching Career Award. This award from the ASA recognizes an individual for sustained excellence in teaching and statistics education. The citation for Dr. Notz's award reads:
