Brian Millen named ASA President

Statistics alumnus Brian Millen has been elected President of the American Statistical Association (ASA). Millen graduated with a PhD in Statistics in 2001 and currently serves as vice president, global head of biostatistics, epidemiology, and real-world data analystics at Biogen.
The ASA is the largest association of statisticians in the world, and this announcement a remarkable honor. According to the ASA, Millen plans to "enhance the capabilities of the Leadership Institute, growing mentoring programs, and collaborate with academic programs on ways to embed leadership principles in graduate-level training."
