The Department of Statistics is ecstatic to announce that Drs. David Sivakoff and Thomas Metzger were notified of their promotions by the Provost Ravi V. Bellamkonda on Wednesday, May 21st!

Dr. Sivakoff has been promoted to Professor of Statistics and Mathematics, and Dr. Metzger has been promoted to Associate Professor of Teaching Practice in Statistics. The process of seeking promotion and tenure includes a tremendous amount of work, and this announcement reflects their incredible achievements in teaching, scholarly work, and service to the department, the university, and the field.
