Matt Pratola is part of an interdisciplinary and multi-institutional group of scientists who have won a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant entitled Bayesian Analysis of Nuclear Dynamics (BAND).   The project seeks to bring statistical methodology such as uncertainty quantification to important problems at the frontier of nuclear physics, and will provide a publicly available set of computational tools for physicists seeking to solve a wide variety of nuclear-physics research questions.
