Massimiliano Russo wins Best Poster Award at the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology Annual Meeting

Massimiliano Russo and Macarius Donneyong
Statistics faculty Massimiliano Russo and his collaborator Macarius Donneyong (Ohio State College of Pharmacy) have been awarded the Best Poster Award in the drug-drug interactions spotlight session at the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology annual meeting. Their poster "Leveraging drug therapeutic class to detect three-way drug-drug interactions: a Bayesian approach" introduces a new method for identifying adverse drug interactions when multiple medications are prescribed simultaneously. Discovering such interactions is extremely challenging because the number of possible combinations leads to data sparsity.

Congratulations Max and Macarius!
