The discipline of statistics underlies many of the biggest successes in data science and is one of the fastest growing professions in the U.S.  The Department of Statistics has launched a newly approved undergraduate major in statistics.  The curriculum is designed to prepare students for both graduate-level education and for jobs in many industries immediately upon graduation.  These industries include business, education, entertrainment, finance, government, insurance, manufacturing, marketing, medicine and pharmaceuticals.  For more information, please contact the Undergraduate Coordinator.
