Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Oksana Chkrebtii Receives NSF Grant to Investigate Statistical Foundations of Digital Twins

Oksana Chkrebtii

Oksana Chkrebtii has been made the principal investigator of a new project funded by the National Science Foundation's Division of Mathematical Sciences (DMS) and the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR).

This project takes a Bayesian perspective on the problem of understanding Digital Twins, a new technology that integrates modeling, data collection, prediction, and decision-making in a two-way, real-time cycle for physical, biological, or engineering systems. This is a joint project with co-PI Steve Niezgoda from the Department of Materials Science Engineering, and co-I Mike Groeber from Integrated Systems Engineering at OSU.

Congratulations, Oksana!
