This December 15–18, 2026, the global data science community will gather in the historic city of Split, Croatia, for ICSDS 2026. Organised by the Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS), this premier conference showcases the latest breakthroughs in statistics, machine learning, and data-driven discovery.

To support the next generation of researchers, IMS has announced its 2026 Student Travel Awards. These competitive grants empower outstanding PhD students and junior researchers to present their work on an international stage by covering conference registration and providing partial travel stipends. Ohio State PhD Candidate Kiljae Lee was one such student this year who was awarded for his work.

Congratulations Kiljae!
