On October 15–16, 2026, the Northeastern Illinois Chapter of the American Statistical Association (NIC-ASA) and the Midwest Chapter of the International Chinese Statistical Association (ICSA) held their annual Joint Fall Meeting in Northbrook, Illinois. The conference brought together researchers, statisticians, and industry professionals to exchange ideas and discuss recent advances in statistical methodology, clinical research, and data science.

As part of the meeting, the Student Poster Exhibition provided an opportunity for graduate students to showcase their research and engage with experts from academia and industry. Ohio State Statistics PhD student Jiaxin Chen received a Student Poster Award in recognition of her research contributions. Her work focuses on developing innovative Bayesian statistical methods for analyzing intensive longitudinal data, with applications to personalized mental health research.
