PhD Student Places First in Poster Awards at Annual Biostatistics Symposium
Arkajyoti (AJ) Bhattacharjee, a fourth-year PhD student in the Department of Statistics, received a Best Poster Award at the 2026 Joint Biostatistics Symposium in recognition of his outstanding research presentation. The symposium brings together researchers and students from across the field to showcase innovative work in biostatistics, data science, and related disciplines.
In addition to AJ’s achievement, other Department of Statistics students were also recognized for their exceptional poster presentations. Andrew Gothard, a third-year PhD student, earned second place, while Yiqian Zhang, a first-year PhD student, received third place honors.
