The International Society for Bayesian Analysis (ISBA) awards fellowships on a biennial basis to recognize ISBA members who have made outstanding contributions in some aspect of statistical work (publication, teaching, and service, including service to the society). 

Professor Matthias Katzfuss, now at the Department of Statistics, University of Wisconsin–Madison, has been elected to fellowship for his groundbreaking developments in scalable Bayesian methods for high-dimensional spatial and spatio-temporal data that bridge the gap between Bayesian theory and large-scale environmental applications, and for his significant service to ISBA and the Bayesian community.
