Xinyu Zhang Receives Laplace Award for Bayesian Research

We are thrilled to announce that recent graduate, Xinyu Zhang (PhD, 2025), has been presented with the Laplace Award!
The Laplace Award, named after the renowned French mathematician Pierre-Simon Laplace, is presented annually to the best paper among the ten winners of the ASA-SBSS Student Paper Competition. Winners present their work at JSM and are recognized during the SBSS gathering at the meeting. This year at JSM 2025 in Nashville (Aug 2–7), Zhang received the Laplace Award for his paper "Bayesian Restricted Likelihood, Generalized Bayes and Model Misspecification.”
Congratulations, Xinyu!
