Professor Emeritus Saul Blumenthal passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018.  He received his undergraduate and doctoral degrees from Cornell University.  After serving on the faculty at the University of Minnesota, Rutgers, NYU, University of Kentucky, and University of Illinois, Professor Blumenthal joined the Department of Statistics at The Ohio State University in 1983.  He retired on July 1, 2006 -- the photo below was taken at his retirement reception.  Read more about Saul Blumenthal's life in his online obituary.
